Overview of Wind Power Gear Accuracy Grouping

Gear transmission is the most important mechanism to transmit motion and power in wind power gearboxes. Its working performance, carrying capacity, service life and working accuracy are closely related to the quality of gear transmission. The transmission quality of gear transmission mainly depends on the manufacturing accuracy of the gear itself and the installation accuracy of the gear pair.

The accuracy of gear transmission in wind power gearboxes can be summarized into the following four items.

 Accuracy of conveying movement

It is required that the maximum angle error of the gear within one revolution is limited to a certain range to control the change of the transmission ratio between the driven part and the driving part within one revolution; the error that affects the accuracy of the motion is mainly the long-period error, most of which are Errors caused by geometric eccentricity and movement eccentricity, mainly including radial runout, cumulative total deviation of tooth pitch and cumulative deviation of tooth pitch inspection items;

 Stability of transmission

Ensure that the transmission ratio change at each instant of gear transmission is small to reduce vibration and noise; the errors that affect the smoothness of the motion are mainly short-period errors, high-frequency errors and tool errors of the machine tool transmission chain, mainly including tooth profile deviations;

 Uniformity of load distribution

It is required that the tooth surface contact is good when the gear is meshed, so as not to cause stress concentration, which will increase the partial wear of the tooth and affect the service life of the gear; the error that affects the uniformity of the load distribution is mainly the deviation of the spiral;

 Reasonability of transmission backlash

When the gears are engaged, there should be a certain gap between the non-working tooth surfaces. It is necessary for storing lubricating oil, compensating for the elastic deformation and thermal expansion of the gear transmission after being stressed, as well as the manufacturing error and assembly error of the gear transmission. Otherwise, the gears may get stuck or burned during the meshing process.
