In August 2021, the Ningxia Development and Reform Commission issued the “Notice on Carrying Out the Pilot Program of “Replacing the Smaller with the Bigger” in Ningxia’s Old Wind Farms, which will implement the policy level of the plan of “replacing the small with the large” in the wind power technical transformation, as the operating period and benefit indicators. , equipment capacity, project approval and a series of detailed rules provide policy standards and basis. In September 2021, Wang Dapeng, deputy director of the New Energy and Renewable Energy Department of the National Energy Administration, said that the upgrade and reconstruction of old wind farms will be implemented in an orderly manner in areas with high-quality wind energy resources, so as to improve the utilization efficiency of wind energy resources and promote the improvement of wind power quality and efficiency. achieve high-quality development.
Since 2017, the number of wind farms in my country has continued to increase. According to statistics, in 2020, a total of 2,488 wind farms affiliated to 49 power generation group (investment) companies participated in the production and operation data statistics of wind farms across the country.
During the “13th Five-Year Plan” period, the cumulative installed capacity of wind power in my country has also continued to grow, from 148.64 million kilowatts in 2016 to 328.48 million kilowatts in 2021, with a CAGR of 17.2% from 2016 to 2021.
According to statistics, in 2020, a total of 90 wind farms in my country were rated as 5A, 125 wind farms were rated as 4A, and 188 wind farms were rated as 3A, all of which have increased compared with 2019.
At the same time, from the perspective of the type of excellent wind farms, in 2020, there will be one 3A-level, two 4A-level, and four 5A-level offshore wind farms in China, and the rest are all onshore wind farms.
Judging from the distribution of the number of 5A superior wind farms in various provinces and cities, Inner Mongolia has the largest number with 12, followed by Xinjiang with 7. These two regions are also one of the provinces and cities with rich wind energy resources in my country.
