In 2007, China’s wind power industry continued its explosive growth trend, with a total installed capacity of about 6 million kilowatts as of the end of 2007. In August 2008, the total installed capacity of Chinoiserie has reached 7 million kilowatts, accounting for 1% of China’s total installed power generation capacity, ranking fifth in the world, which also means that China has entered the ranks of renewable energy powers.
Since 2008, the wave of wind power construction in China has reached a white-hot level. In 2009, China (excluding Taiwan) added 10129 new wind turbines with a capacity of 13803.2MW, a year-on-year increase of 124%; A total of 21581 wind turbines have been installed with a capacity of 25805.3MW. In 2009, Taiwan added 37 new wind turbines with a capacity of 77.9MW; A total of 227 wind turbines have been installed with a capacity of 436.05MW.
