Site selection of wind turbines

The changes in wind speed and direction have a significant impact on the power generation of wind turbines. Generally, the higher the tower, the higher the wind speed, the smoother the airflow, and the greater the power generation. Therefore, the site selection of wind turbines should be carefully considered, as each installation is different, and factors such as tower height, battery pack distance, local planning requirements, and obstacles such as buildings and trees should be considered. The specific requirements for fan installation and site selection are as follows:

The recommended minimum tower height for wind turbines is 8 meters or within 100m of the installation range center at a distance of 5 meters or more from obstacles, and there should be no obstacles as much as possible;

The installation of adjacent two fans should be maintained at a distance of 8-10 times the diameter of the wind turbine; The location of the fan should avoid turbulence. Choose an area with a relatively stable prevailing wind direction and small daily and seasonal variations in wind speed, where the annual average wind speed is relatively high;

The vertical wind speed shear within the height range of the fan should be smaller; Choose places with as few natural disasters as possible;

Safety is the primary concern when selecting the installation location. Therefore, even when installing a wind turbine in a location with less ideal wind speed resources, the blades of the wind turbine should not rotate during installation.

Introduction to Wind Power Generation

The wind power supply consists of a wind turbine generator set, a tower supporting the generator set, a battery charging controller, an inverter, a unloader, a grid connected controller, a battery pack, etc; Wind turbines include wind turbines and generators; The wind turbine consists of blades, wheels, reinforcement components, etc; It has functions such as generating electricity from the rotation of blades by wind, and rotating the head of the generator. Wind speed selection: Low wind speed wind turbines can effectively improve the wind energy utilization of wind turbines in low wind speed areas. In areas where the annual average wind speed is less than 3.5m/s and there are no typhoons, it is recommended to choose low wind speed products.

According to the “2013-2017 China Wind Turbine Industry Market Outlook and Investment Strategy Planning Analysis Report”, the power generation situation of various types of generator units in May 2012: According to the type of generator unit, the hydroelectric power generation was 222.6 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of 7.8%. Due to the good inflow of water from rivers, the growth rate has significantly rebounded; The thermal power generation reached 1577.6 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of 4.1%, and the growth rate continued to decline; The nuclear power generation reached 39.4 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of 12.5%, which is lower than the same period last year; The wind power generation capacity is 42.4 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of 24.2%, and still maintains a rapid growth.

In December 2012, the power generation of each type of generator unit: According to the type of generator unit, the hydroelectric power generation was 864.1 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of 29.3%, achieving a significant increase throughout the year; The thermal power generation reached 3910.8 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of 0.3%, achieving a slight increase; The nuclear power generation reached 98.2 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of 12.6%, lower than last year’s growth rate; The wind power generation capacity reached 100.4 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of 35.5%, maintaining a rapid growth.
